Physicians
Attending physicians are directly involved with the supervision of
resident care. If the resident’s family physician has not
applied for staff privileges, the resident is given the opportunity to
choose a physician from the approved Villa list. In addition to
attending physicians, the Villa arranges for consultation and treatment
with a psychiatrist, psychologist, dentist, podiatrist, ophthalmologist
or audiologist. Other services are obtained as needed. Back to Top
Social Services
The Social Workers assist residents and their families in adapting to
the Villa.
The emotional aspects of the resident’s illness, the
treatment and plan
of care, along with discharge planning are discussed with the resident
and family.
The Social Workers also facilitate details of a resident’s
return home
or transfer to another facility when such movements are appropriate. Back

Dining Services

Dining is essential in
resident care. Serving appetizing meals encourages proper
nutrition. A selective menu
is offered for all diets. To provide a variety of foods, the menu cycle
changes periodically. The registered dietitian visits residents
periodically, attends weekly resident care conferences and adheres to
doctors’ orders regarding diet. Residents are encouraged to
eat together in one of the dining
